It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Utban (may Allah be pleased with him) began to complain about his eyes. He sent a message to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), mentioning his difficulty and requested, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), please come to my house and offer prayer so that I may make that place my prayer area." Accordingly, one day the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to his house with some of his companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to pray, and the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) began to talk among themselves and started mentioning the troubles caused by the hypocrites. They considered Malik bin Dukhaytham to be the most involved in this. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, he said, "Does he not bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah?" A man said, "Why not, but it is not from his heart." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, the fire of Hell will never consume him."
