(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا لِأَنَسٍ : فَالطَّعَامُ ؟ ، قَالَ : ذَلِكَ أَشَدُّ أَوْ أَنْتَنُ ، قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ : أَوْ أَخْبَثُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking water while standing. We asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about eating (while standing), so he replied that this is even more severe.
