Hadith 12324

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ ، فَقَالَ له : " هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once something of charity came to Bareerah (the slave girl of Hazrat Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is charity for her and a gift for us."
