Hadith 12323

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا عَدْوَى ، وَلَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ ، قِيلَ : وَمَا الْفَأْلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : كَلِمَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet said: There is no reality in bad omens, however, I like optimism, that is, a good and pure word.
