Hadith 12310

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ ؟ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَبْتَدِرُهُمَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ وَسَأَلْتُهُ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ ، فَقَالَ : كُنَّا نَبْتَدِرُهُمَا ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Abu Fazarah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once he asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the two rak‘ahs before Maghrib, so he replied that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to hasten towards them. After that, when he asked again, he did not mention the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
