Hadith 12179

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، وَالدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ ، قَالَ : وَالْفَأْلُ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no reality in bad omens, however, I like a good and pure word (as a good omen).
