Hadith 12168

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأُكْلَةَ ، أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ ، فَيَحْمَدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty becomes pleased with His servant even on such a small thing that after eating a morsel of food or drinking water, he thanks Allah.
