Hadith 12156

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ ، وَكَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِيَّ ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَكُّوكٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his honorable wife used to perform ghusl from the same vessel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl with five makook of water and perform wudu with one makook of water.
