Hadith 12147

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ضَحَّى بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ ، وَيُسَمِّي ، وَيُكَبِّرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two speckled, horned rams as sacrifice, and he would mention the name of Allah and say Takbeer. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would slaughter them with his own hand and would place his foot on their side.
