It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished stoning the Jamrah Aqabah and sacrificing the animal, he had cupping done, and presented the right side of his head to the barber first. The barber shaved the hair from that side, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave those hairs to Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). Then he had the hair on the left side shaved and gave those hairs to the general people.
