(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، سَمِعَ
أَنَسًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَتْبَعُ الْمَيِّتَ ثَلَاثٌ : أَهْلُهُ ، وَمَالُهُ ، وَعَمَلُهُ ، فَيَرْجِعُ اثْنَانِ وَيَبْقَى وَاحِدٌ يَرجِع أَهْلُهُ وَمَالُهُ ، وَيَبْقَى عَمَلُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three things accompany the deceased: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two things return, and one thing remains with him. His family and wealth return, and his deeds remain.
