Hadith 12068

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah, he was wearing a helmet. Someone came and informed that Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Even then, kill him." Abdur Rahman says that in the hadith I recited before Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him), it was also mentioned that on that day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was not in the state of Ihram. And Allah knows best.
