Hadith 12047

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever likes to meet Allah, Allah also likes to meet him, and whoever dislikes to meet Allah, Allah also dislikes to meet him. Upon hearing this, we said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Each of us dislikes death." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: This does not refer to the dislike of death, rather, when a believer is given glad tidings of a good end by an angel from Allah, then nothing becomes more beloved to him than meeting Allah, so Allah also likes to meet him. And when a disbeliever is given news of a bad end by an angel from Allah, he dislikes to meet Allah, so Allah also dislikes to meet him.
