(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وأبى سعيد الخدري , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ ، إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ، وَتَغَشَّتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ ، وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّكِينَةُ ، وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ ، وَقَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْهِلُ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ ، نَزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَى هَذِهِ السَّمَاءِ ، فَنَادَى : هَلْ مِنْ مُذْنِبٍ يَتُوبُ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ ؟ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ " .
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) as a testimony that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whenever a group of people sits together to remember Allah, the angels surround them, tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him in the highest assembly. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When one third of the night remains, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven and announces: Is there any sinner who will repent? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone supplicating? Is there anyone asking? This announcement continues until the break of dawn.
