Hadith 11890

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people from the Ansar came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and requested assistance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them something, and whoever kept asking, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept giving to him, until everything the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had was finished. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had given them all, he dusted off his hands and said: Whatever wealth comes to us, we will not withhold it from you and store it away. However, whoever wants to abstain, Allah saves him; whoever asks Allah for contentment, Allah grants him contentment; and whoever holds fast to patience, Allah gives him patience. And among the things you have been given, nothing is better and more vast than patience.
