Hadith 11889

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ مَعَ التَّثَاؤُبِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you feels like yawning, he should keep his mouth closed as much as possible, for the devil enters his mouth along with the yawn.
