Hadith 11881

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي خُصَيْفٌ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّتَيْنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، يَقُولُ : " الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ ، وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say twice from the pulpit that gold should be exchanged for gold and silver for silver with equal weight when buying and selling.
