Hadith 11862

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَشَدَّ حَيَاءً مِنَ الْعَذْرَاءِ فِي خِدْرِهَا ، وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ الشَّيْءَ عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was more modest than a veiled virgin girl, and when something displeased him, we would recognize it from his blessed face.
