Hadith 11833

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَشَدَّ حَيَاءً مِنْ عَذْرَاءَ فِي خِدْرِهَا ، وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was more modest than a veiled virgin girl, and when something displeased him, we would recognize it from his blessed face.
