It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," he would then say: O our Lord! O Allah! All praise is for You alone, as much as would fill the heavens and the earth and whatever else You will besides them. You alone are worthy of praise and greatness. Whatever the servant says, You are most deserving of it, and we are all Your servants. Whatever You give to someone, none can withhold it, and the greatness of any person of rank cannot benefit him before You.
