Hadith 11822

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever wishes to observe continuous fasting with only one pre-dawn meal (suhoor), let him do so until suhoor. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! You observe continuous fasting in this manner?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "In this matter, I am not like you. I spend the night in such a state that my Lord Himself gives me food and drink."
