Hadith 11820

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ قَرَظَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ اشْتَرَى كَبْشًا لِيُضَحِّيَ بِهِ ، فَأَكَلَ الذِّئْبُ مِنْ ذَنَبِهِ أَوْ ذَنَبَهُ ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " ضَحِّ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I bought a ram for sacrifice. By chance, a wolf came and ate a portion of its haunch. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (whether it could still be sacrificed or not?). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sacrifice this very one.
