(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ نَهَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَسْأَلُ الْعَبْدَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَسْأَلُهُ ، يَقُولُ : أَيْ عَبْدِي ، رَأَيْتَ مُنْكَرًا فَلَمْ تُنْكِرْهُ ، فَإِذَا لَقَّى اللَّهُ عَبْدًا حُجَّتَهُ ، قَالَ : يَا رَبِّ ، وَثِقْتُ بِكَ ، وَخِفْتُ النَّاسَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, you will be questioned about everything, even to the extent that you will be asked: When you saw a sinful act being committed, why did you not prevent it? Then, the one to whom Allah grants understanding will say: O Lord! I hoped for Your forgiveness, but I feared the people.
