Hadith 11714

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَرَّاجٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يُنْصَبُ لِلْكَافِرِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِقْدَارُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ، كَمَا لَمْ يَعْمَلْ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، وَإِنَّ الْكَافِرَ لَيَرَى جَهَنَّمَ وَيَظُنُّ أَنَّهَا مُوَاقِعَتُهُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Day of Resurrection will feel to the disbeliever as long as fifty thousand years, because he did no deeds in the world, and when the disbeliever sees Hell from a distance of forty years’ journey, it will seem to him as if he is about to fall into Hell immediately.
