(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَرَّاجٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ الْبَاقِيَاتِ الصَّالِحَاتِ " ، قِيلَ : وَمَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " الْمِلَّةُ " ، قِيلَ : وَمَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " الْمِلَّةُ " ، قِيلَ : وَمَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " التَّكْبِيرُ ، وَالتَّهْلِيلُ ، وَالتَّسْبِيحُ ، وَالتَّحْمِيدُ ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do abundantly the 'Baqiyat Salihat'." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is meant by that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Millat." Someone asked, "What is meant by that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Millat." Upon being asked a third time, he said, "It means saying Takbeer, Tahleel, Tasbeeh, Tahmeed, and La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah."
