(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةٌ سِيَرَاءُ ، فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي لَمْ أُعْطِكَهَا لِتَلْبَسَهَا " ، قَالَ : فَأَمَرَنِي فَأَطَرْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a silk garment was sent as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to me. I wore it and went outside, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry to the extent that I saw signs of displeasure on the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I did not give it to you to wear." Then he ordered me, so I distributed it among my women.
