Hadith 11633

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَانِيَةِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ ، فَقَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَالْجُفُّ ، قَالَ : ذَاكَ أَشَرُّ وَأَشَرُّ .
Abu Al-Alaniyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) about the nabidh (fermented drink) made in a pitcher, so he replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade it. I asked, "What is the ruling about a hollow piece of wood?" He replied, "That is even worse than the pitcher."
