It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has a hundred mercies, out of which He has sent down only one mercy upon all jinn, humans, and animals. Because of this one mercy, they show kindness and compassion to one another, and even wild animals show mercy to their offspring due to this one mercy. The remaining ninety-nine mercies are with Allah, and on the Day of Resurrection, He will add this one mercy to those ninety-nine.
