(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى الْمَهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ بَعْثًا إِلَى بَنِي لِحْيَانَ ، قَالَ : يَعْنِي : " لِيَنْبَعِثْ مِنْ كُلِّ رَجُلَيْنِ رَجُلٌ ، وَقَالَ لِلْقَاعِدِ : أَيُّكُمَا خَلَفَ الْخَارِجَ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ بِخَيْرٍ ، كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ نِصْفِ أَجْرِ الْخَارِجِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a message was sent to Banu Lihyan stating that from every group, one man should go out for jihad, and regarding those who stay behind, it was said that whoever among you takes good care of the family and wealth of the one who has gone out for jihad, he will receive half the reward of the one who has gone out for jihad.
