Hadith 11523

(حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، عَنْ وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ " تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ ، فَيُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنَامَ ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ يَنَامَ " .
And it is narrated with the previous chain that Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that if at night he becomes "impure" and then wishes to sleep, what should he do? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to perform ablution and then go to sleep.
