Hadith 11510

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : ثَلَاثًا , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي كَثِيرُ الشَّعَرِ , قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَكْثَرَ شَعَرًا مِنْكَ وَأَطْيَبَ " .
A person asked Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) about the ritual bath (ghusl) after sexual impurity. He replied: Pour water over the body three times. The person said: I have a lot of hair on my head. Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had more and more fragrant hair than you, (yet he would pour water over his body three times only).
