(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالُوا : إِلَّا مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالُوا : إِلَّا مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالَ : حَتَّى خِفْنَا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ وَجَبَتْ , قَالَ : " إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people with abundance of wealth and riches have been ruined." We became afraid. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Except for those who distribute it with both hands, to their right, left, and in front, but such people are very few."
