Hadith 11474

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ ، عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى الْقُرْدُوسِيِّ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ رَهْبَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِحَقٍّ إِذَا رَآهُ أَوْ شَهِدَهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُقَرِّبُ مِنْ أَجَلٍ ، وَلَا يُبَاعِدُ مِنْ رِزْقٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ بِحَقٍّ ، أَوْ يُذَكِّرَ بِعَظِيمٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The awe and fear of people should not prevent any of you from speaking the truth, when he himself sees it, witnesses it, or hears it, because by speaking the truth or mentioning an important matter, death does not come closer nor does sustenance go farther away.
