It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Hunain, we captured some prisoners. We wanted to release them in exchange for ransom, so we asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about coitus interruptus (‘azl). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do whatever you wish, whatever Allah has decreed will happen, and not every drop of semen results in a child.
