(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي جَارًا يَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ ، ولَا يَقْرَأُ إِلَّا قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ كَأَنَّهُ يُقَلِّلُهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّهَا لَتَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a person submitted in the court of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I have a neighbor who stands in prayer all night but recites nothing except Surah Ikhlas." He thought that this was a very small thing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, it is equal to one third of the Qur'an."
