Hadith 11287

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمَا : " مَا قَعَدَ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى إِلَّا حَفَّتْ بِهِمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ، وَتَنَزَّلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّكِينَةُ ، وَتَغَشَّتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ ، وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ " .
It is narrated as testimony from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a group of people sits together to remember Allah, the angels surround them, tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him in the highest assembly.
