Hadith 11283

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُدْعَى نُوحٌ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : هَلْ بَلَّغْتَ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : نَعَمْ ، فَيُدْعَى قَوْمُهُ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ : هَلْ بَلَّغَكُمْ ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : مَا أَتَانَا مِنْ نَذِيرٍ ، أَوْ مَا أَتَانَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ ، قَالَ : فَيُقَالُ لِنُوحٍ : مَنْ يَشْهَدُ لَكَ ، فَيَقُولُ : مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ ، قَالَ : فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا سورة البقرة آية 143 ، قَالَ : الْوَسَطُ الْعَدْلُ ، قَالَ : فَيُدْعَوْنَ ، فَيَشْهَدُونَ لَهُ بِالْبَلَاغِ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَشْهَدُ عَلَيْكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) will be called and he will be asked, "Did you convey the message of Tawheed?" He will reply, "Yes!" Then his people will be called and they will be asked, "Did he convey the message to you?" They will reply, "No warner came to us and no one came to us." Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) will be asked, "Who will testify in your favor?" He will reply, "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Ummah." This is the meaning of the verse: "Thus We have made you a just (wasat) community," that in it, "wasat" means moderate. Thus, this Ummah will be called and it will testify in favor of Hazrat Nuh (peace be upon him) that he conveyed the message of Tawheed. Then I will testify as a witness over you.
