It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there were four people among the Mu’allafatul Quloob: Alqamah bin Alathah Al-Amiri, Aqra’ bin Habis, Zaid Al-Khail, and Uyainah bin Badr. Once, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a piece of gold from Yemen, wrapped in tanned leather—“whose soil had not been spoiled”—and presented it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it among those four men.
