(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالُوا : إِلَّا مَنْ ؟ ، قَالَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالُوا : إِلَّا مَنْ ؟ ، قَالَ : " هَلَكَ الْمُثْرُونَ " ، قَالُوا : إِلَّا مَنْ ؟ ، قَالَ : حَتَّى خِفْنَا أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ وَجَبَتْ ، فَقَالَ : " إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ، وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three people with an abundance of wealth and property have been destroyed." We became afraid. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Except for those who distribute with their own hands, giving handfuls to the right, left, and in front, but such people are very few."
