Hadith 11258

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي فِطْرٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " فِيكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ ، كَمَا قَاتَلَ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Some people among you will fight over the interpretation and explanation of the Qur'an just as I fight over its revelation.
