Hadith 11256

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمَنِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ ، فَمَا كَانَ إِلَى الْكَعْبِ فَلَا بَأْسَ ، وَمَا كَانَ تَحْتَ الْكَعْبِ فَفِي النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The lower garment of a Muslim should be till the middle of the shin; there is no harm if it is between the shin and the ankles, but the part of the lower garment which is below the ankles will be in Hell.
