Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by an Ansari companion. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for him, and when he came, water droplets were dripping from his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Perhaps we made you hasten to finish quickly?" He replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you are in such a situation and are in a hurry, then just perform ablution (wudu), do not perform a full bath (ghusl). (Rather, perform ghusl later at your convenience.)"
