Hadith 11144

Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man asked in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), there is an abundance of lizards in our area. What command do you give us regarding this?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "It has been mentioned before me that a group among the Children of Israel was transformed (into something else), (perhaps it was this very creature),” and the Prophet (peace be upon him) neither commanded to eat it nor forbade it.
