Hadith 11096

(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا فِرَاسُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَقَدْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْجَنَّةَ مَا عَمِلَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ ، قَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ حِينَ حَضَرَهُ الْمَوْتُ : إِذَا أَنَا مِتُّ فَأَحْرِقُونِي ، ثُمَّ اسْحَقُونِي ، ثُمَّ اذْرُوا نِصْفِي فِي الْبَحْرِ وَنِصْفِي فِي الْبَرِّ ، فَأَمَرَ اللَّهُ الْبَرَّ وَالْبَحْرَ فَجَمَعَاهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ ، قَالَ : مَخَافَتُكَ ، قَالَ : فَغَفَرَ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ " .
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man will enter Paradise who never did any good deed. He was the one who, during his terminal illness, instructed his family that when I die, burn me in fire, crush my ashes, and scatter half of them in the sea and half on land. Allah commanded the land and the sea, and they gathered all his particles together. Allah asked him: Why did you do this? He replied: Out of fear of You. Because of this, Allah forgave him.
