(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا سورة البقرة آية 143 قَالَ : " عَدْلًا " .
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) interpreted "ummatan wasatan" as the moderate nation.
