(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا لِي أَرَاكَ تَنَوَّقُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَتَدَعُنَا ؟ قَالَ : " عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : ابْنَةُ حَمْزَةَ ، قَالَ : " هِيَ ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I once submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Why do you prefer other families of Quraysh over us? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you also have something?" I replied: Yes! The daughter of Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: "She is my foster niece." (In fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Amir Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) were foster brothers as well as uncle and nephew.)
