Hadith 10971

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ , حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ , وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ , وَعَنِ الظُّرُوفِ كُلِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of nabidh (fermented drink) in pitchers of gourd, hollow wooden vessels, and common utensils.
