Hadith 10949

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ , عَنْ لَيْثٍ , عَنْ طَاوُسٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ , فَإِنَّهُ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ , وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا , وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا , وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا , وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا , وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا , وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا , وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا كَمَا أَمَرَكُمْ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Guard yourselves against suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy on one another, do not seek out each other's faults, do not compete with one another, do not deceive one another, do not sever ties of kinship, do not harbor malice, and O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another, as Allah has commanded you."
