Hadith 10945

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ , حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ , حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَخِي أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا تَصَدَّقَ أَحَدٌ بِصَدَقَةٍ مِنْ طَيِّبٍ , وَلَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا الطَّيِّبَ ، إِلَّا أَخَذَهَا الرَّحْمَنُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِيَمِينِهِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ تَمْرَةً , فَتَرْبُو لَهُ فِي كَفِّ الرَّحْمَنِ , حَتَّى تَكُونَ أَعْظَمَ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ , كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant gives charity from lawful wealth, even if it is a single date, Allah accepts it and takes it in His right hand, and only lawful things ascend to Allah. Just as one of you raises and nurtures his young goat, in the same way Allah nurtures and increases that charity, until it becomes as large as a mountain in the hand of Allah.
