Ziyad Harithi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man came to Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Are you the one who forbids people from praying while wearing shoes?" He replied, "No, by the Lord of this Haram, I myself have seen the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) standing in this very place, praying while wearing shoes, and then leaving."
